WiSH and The Dons Den In Attendance at Merton Heritage Discovery Day

Our fantastic event on July 5 at Plough Lane helped put Speedway back on the map, not just in the borough, but across London. It was a truly spectacular event that was a sell-out and attended by enthusiasts and those curious. The headline was, of course, the unveiling of the Ronnie Moore Statue, which now sits proudly on the stadium forecourt.

Some images of the day can be found in the gallery below, courtesy of Steven Hone, Kirk Pritchard, The Dons Dens and Ray Armfield.

If you weren’t in attendance on the day, then some of the amazing Speedway display will be on show at the Merton Heritage Discovery Day. This is an event that WiSH proudly attends each year, and is part of our crucial links with the borough and community. It falls on a day when the football club are playing away, so there is a great chance to pop down and support what we do, as well as find out some wonderful facts about our past and wider community.

Merton Heritage Discovery Day is on Saturday, August 16, at the Merton Civic Centre, between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm. Details of the event can be found on the images below.
