WiSH volunteers have achieved so much already, however this is just the start. There are many projects and plans for the coming months and years!
WiSH welcomes potential volunteers from all backgrounds. We aim to be truly inclusive.
If you would like to join us as a WiSH volunteer please read below, as this will help you understand what to expect as you follow the WiSH recruitment process.
If you are interested in a specific role or are offering to volunteer with WiSH, please contact the Head of Volunteering via email@example.com. We can then arrange for you to have an informal chat with the Head of Department for the area you are interested in.
You will be sent a Role Description and Person Specification. To be considered, you will be required to return the completed forms together with your CV. Please note some open roles are posted on this page, however, please do not hesitate to get in touch on a speculative basis.
Successful candidates will be offered an interview. Either one or two interviews will be required depending on the role in question.
If your application is successful, you will be invited to an interview. This may be in person or via Zoom. The Head of Volunteering (Chris Hutchinson) will inform you if you have been offered the role (subject to references / DBS check if required). Unsuccessful applicants will be offered feedback.
You will be required to attend an induction – this may be in person or via Zoom. This will last about 30-45 minutes and ensures that all volunteers have the same baseline understanding of WiSH’s DNA.
You will then need to complete and return a WiSH Volunteer Agreement and complete a personal details form.
